Scores for the Office
About
»Always walk around the office with a sense of urgency. Always keep a stack of paper in your hand. Stare intently at your computer screen.«
Scores for the Office grew from online forums where people exchange advice on how to appear busy at work rather than how to work. Reading these instructions, I was struck by their unintentional poetry and vivid images they where conjuring.
With a nod to Yoko Ono, the installation consists of a printed screenshot as the wallpiece, accompanied by laser-cut office objects. Visitors are invited to perform with them, or simply read and imagine.
